A roguelike city builder where every farm, mill, and road exists to brew beer. Explore a wilderness that's different each run, claim the rare ingredients you find there, and grow an economy rich enough to pay the King's taxes.
Brews & Kings is a roguelike city builder where every farm, mill, and road exists to brew beer. You are a brewmaster with a royal permit. Each run starts in a procedurally generated wilderness full of rare ingredients, resources, and events. Turn it into a beer economy strong enough to keep the King happy.
The King is fickle, and a new one sits on the throne each run. One wants quantity and forgives almost anything if the barrels arrive on time. Another cares about appearance and expects your city to look rich. Every run ends with one big event you know about from the start: a royal festival, a hard winter, or a spirit that drains your population until you satisfy it. Each King changes what a good strategy looks like before you place a single building.
Every run leaves the world with more than it started with. New buildings, new events, and new merchants join the pool, then you place your first foundation on fresh ground under a new King. Brews & Kings is made by Scarlet Engineering, a Taipei studio building systems-driven games where simple rules produce surprising play.

Brews & Kings is the studio's take on the city builder: a roguelike where a medieval kingdom lives and breathes beer, and the factions you please, and the ones you don't, shape every run.
